Meet The Team

We are a small, independent family-run business.

Everyone gets involved, nobody gets a free ride. Inspiration, design, printing, hand-finishing, packaging, distribution – there’s always a job to be done.

When it comes to making cards, we like to do most things in-house and very little is outsourced. We are quite possibly control freaks but it works for us.

We like snacks in the office. You will often find cake, biscuits and nibbles loitering around the kitchen area – we are also partial to the occasional chippy lunch. We drink LOTS of tea, and the occasional posh coffee when Paul tests out his barista skills on the coffee machine.

We like nights out. We try to behave sensibly but sometimes the cocktails get the better of us. There have been occasions where press-ups have been done on the dance floor, break dancing back-spins have been attempted and one instance of a drunken head being shaved.

As far as greeting cards are concerned, we can be quite fussy. We only buy the best materials and we like to work with nice people. We only buy paper and envelopes which are either recycled or made from FSC paper / sustainable paper.

Approx 90% of our products are printed in-house by our sister company, Melbourne Print Ltd. They have some super snazzy printing equipment. Many of our cards are hand finished with subtle sparkles – we have a super group of local ladies who do this for us. In 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021 and again in 2022 we won a Henries Award for our card designs (as well as also reaching the finals in 2014, 2015 and 2017). To say we are delighted with our FIVE awards is an understatement! They have pride of place in the office and are frequently stroked as we walk past them.

Jo

Jo

This is a picture of Jo when someone gets the biscuits out… Mum to two gorgeous girls (plus Ted & Toby, the lovely dogs). Chief doodler in charge of dreaming up new designs. Envelope purveyor. Netflix addict. Likes Gin. And Cocktails. And curry. Loves creating cards. Loves sending cards. Loves receiving cards.

Paul

Paul

DIY expert in charge of building stands for trade shows – our Screwfix card was 100% based on Paul. He loves a good spreadsheet, the more numbers and formulas the better. Paul manages the accounts for Dandelion and makes sure all our suppliers get paid. He also runs his own printing business and is a fabulous Dad (to two gorgeous girls, and Ted the dog). Despite all of this, he still has time for golf. Lots of golf. Some would say too much golf.

Jess

Jess

Jess is our Studio Manager – she keeps the office running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. She is also in charge of all things marketing, social media and customer service related. Jess is super organised and efficient. Self-confessed tea addict and chief biscuit tester. We don’t often let Jess take control of the music in the office, as it’s inevitably Snoop Dog, J Hus or some other hardcore rap gangster. If we are feeling really mean we force her to listen to Michael Jackson, who she really loves.

Jo K

Jo K

Accounts, book-keeping, admin & reporting guru. She loves gadgets and apps – no matter what the task, she will find an app to make it work better/easier. If you are a stockist of ours and you have any queries on your invoice, you are likely to end up speaking to Jo K.  She is very very lovely (unless you owe us money).

Helen

Helen

Helen works with us part-time and can usually be found buried under a mountain of coasters and soaps in our warehouse. She is a pro at folding tea-towels. She helps keep the warehouse running smoothly.

Nicola

Nicola

Operations QUEEN – Nicola is officially in charge of all orders coming in and going out from our little warehouse. Nicola co-ordinates all things related to customer orders. She is super organised – if you have any queries regarding your order, Nicola is the person to speak with.  She is also officially the most colourful person in our little office – no matter what the weather she will brighten up your day with her crazy dungarees and sparkly doc’s.

Alison

Alison

Alison helps make sure our office runs smoothly and keeps us organised – she sorts out customer orders, along with making sure we have the right amount of stock in place.   She is one of those strange and unusual people that likes a good spreadsheet.  This is one of the rare photos we managed to find of Alison without a drink in her hand… she is our kind of person.

Meg

Meg

Meet Meg, our talented Junior Graphic Designer. When Meg is not busy creating captivating designs that breathe life into our cards, you might catch a glimpse of Meg rocking out to some heavy metal tunes in the warehouse. Whether channelling artistic vibes or grooving through packing tasks, Meg is a great asset to the team!

Natalie

Natalie

Natalie is one of our creative masterminds behind our heartwarming greeting cards. With an exquisite blend of design expertise and an eye for detail, Nat infuses each card with a dash of emotion and a touch of magic. Just like a perfectly brewed cup of tea!

Ted – Head of Security

Ted – Head of Security

The original office dog & Head of Security (though in reality he is everyone’s best friend and never short of a cuddle). Occasionally likes to wear a reindeer hat.

Toby

Toby

The latest addition to our security team. Very much the junior but likes to think he’s the boss.
